Vitamins and Minerals

I hope that you had a great weekend despite the weather. I had to take a trip to Central Michigan and it was warmer there than it was here in Quincy. The first part of the trip was traveling in whiteout conditions and not being able to see the road until we got to Pittsfield and then not bad from there on. The weather can be a stress not only because of the cold temperatures and being stuck inside but when trying to travel and the conditions on the roads. The stress can lead to nutritional deficiencies as the body is using more of its stores to handle these stresses.             Our topic for tonight’s health shop is vitamins and minerals. We’ll be talking about where they come from and how the body can absorb them, two topics you never hear about on mainstream media advertising. For example, the Ensure product has artificial vitamins and minerals that come from rock sources and are basically unusable for nutrition, and is full of sugar, just with people in nursing

Exercise and Breathing

Another weekend of bad weather, seems to be becoming a habit. I hope that everyone survived the ice without slips and falls. If you did though, come in to the office to be aligned correctly so that the problem doesn’t develop into worse issues this spring, when you really want to be outside and enjoying life. We see this very often in every year, when people fall in January or February and then come in to the office in April or May with big problems and pain. It can take several months for these misalignments to work into swelling and weakness. Get checked soon, even if you haven’t fell!             January is moving right along and we are already into the 3 rd week. Don’t forget to listen to our health shop tonight at 6. Will we will be talking about exercise and breathing. I’ve included an article that talks about doing Burpees as an easy exercise to shape up with. We also have patients just try to walk every day or every other day to simply keep them moving. Many

How to Do Burpees Properly STORY AT-A-GLANCE The burpee was named after Royal Huddleston Burpee, a physiologist from New York City. Increase Energy

How is 2020 going for you? The weather hasn’t been too bad but it is winter. Again, we are getting a lot of news from out there about all the flu and colds. Most of these are driven by viruses and antibiotics do not help viruses, plus they cause yeast infections due to killing off all the good bacteria. It’s much smarter to work on your immune system so the body can keep all these bugs under control. We have many good products to help with this and they go right along with our Nutrition Response Testing technique to find out which ones the person being tested needs. Just taking “vitamin C”, which is normally just ascorbic acid, is a way of helping the pH in the gut and can be helpful but is not really strengthening the immune system like the true vitamin C complex nutrition can. There is so much baloney out there in the nutrition media so it is important to know what works for you, not only for the benefit, but for the efficiency and cost.             The theme for
