Exercise and Breathing

Another weekend of bad weather, seems to be becoming a habit. I hope that everyone survived the ice without slips and falls. If you did though, come in to the office to be aligned correctly so that the problem doesn’t develop into worse issues this spring, when you really want to be outside and enjoying life. We see this very often in every year, when people fall in January or February and then come in to the office in April or May with big problems and pain. It can take several months for these misalignments to work into swelling and weakness. Get checked soon, even if you haven’t fell!
January is moving right along and we are already into the 3rd week. Don’t forget to listen to our health shop tonight at 6. Will we will be talking about exercise and breathing. I’ve included an article that talks about doing Burpees as an easy exercise to shape up with. We also have patients just try to walk every day or every other day to simply keep them moving. Many people start out with big ideas on exercise at the beginning of the year but the ambition tapers off after a couple of months. That’s understandable with the increased activities of spring. It’s just good to get into a simple exercise habit that you can do all year round. And you don’t have to overdo it, like run marathons, but just stay active and moving.

We have several great tools now to check patients on their health status. Our heart rate variability test gives us a good understanding of the autonomic nervous system and how it is working. We also have the heart sound recorder which can check the condition of the heart itself by listening to the valves work. We are also bringing online some new testing equipment in our exam room to further evaluate our patient’s conditions and improvements with our 3 types of treatment, chiropractic-nutrition-emotional. As you can imagine, we are having great success with helping patients be healthy and happy and at optimum, not just pain free, but truly healthy. We want so much to help you and yours stay out of the medical paradigm of drugs and surgery and high expense.

Most People Don't Reach Micronutrient Requirements Through Food Alone

STORY AT-A-GLANCE Most adolescents are not getting adequate nutrient intake from diet alone — a finding confirmed from other studies in developed countries such as Spain, France, Portugal and Germany Three-quarters of adolescents consumed less than 54% of the recommended amounts of healthy foods like fruits, vegetables and dairy products Nearly three-quarters of the youth exceeded the recommended limit for sweet and salty snacks — by 453% When nutrient intake was considered from diet alone, adolescents often consumed less than recommended amounts of the fat-soluble vitamins A, D and E along with the water-soluble vitamins folate, biotin and pantothenic acid The use of dietary supplements helped to increase the adolescents’ intake of vitamins and minerals, particularly magnesium and vitamin C, but this isn’t a replacement for a healthy, nutrient-rich diet While it’s possible to get all the vitamins and minerals your body needs by eating a healthy diet, most people fall short. A Blessing

Hi Natural Health Family. We got some rain this weekend! It was definitely refreshing and great to see something different. I am sure many of the farmers were happy to see that along with anyone that has grass. Time to mow again haha. Just like waiting for the rain we can be more patient in other aspects of our life.  Have you ever had something happen that you thought was bad or perhaps a mistake by yourself or someone else? However, after perhaps days, weeks, months you look back and realize if that didn’t happen then you would have never realized something that helped you down the road, a blessing in disguise. Many times people get caught up in thinking that this event that happened was so bad or that it should have never happened. When we are quick to judge something then we may keep ourselves from seeing something more clearly. Of course it is okay when we get frustrated from time to time, but then we can redirect ourselves to see whatever happened in a different way we can le

Enjoy The Show

Hi Natural Health Family! Imagine everyone enjoyed their weekend with some great weather. Did you have a win from last week? Could be something small or a big accomplishment. Whatever it was, I hope it brought you joy in some way. Sometimes life can seem strugglesome, difficult, and overwhelming. We have the ability to reframe the way we see life. Let’s talk about our ability to respond to the way we see the world around us.  Have you ever been watching a tv show or movie and thought “wow there really isn’t anything going on in the show, there are no ups and downs, no twists and turns, it just seems so bland and boring.” Maybe you have thought of that but I would guess that you probably didn’t. The movie with the director, producer, and actors is meant to grab your attention. The director wanted to captivate the audience, of course to sell more movies, but also for the people watching to get lost in the experience of watching the movie. If the movie is really good we almost forget we
