Brain Health

Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation -      Another great weekend and a mixture of weather. I'm so thankful that the grass is staying green and the gardens are growing great produce. Even though it feels hot with the humidity, the temperatures are not in the hundreds as we've had in the past. We are pretty spoiled with the air conditioners we have and I think that only makes the heat seem worse, but I am old enough to remember temperatures being in the hundreds years ago.  At our house now we have a very open area and can watch the storms develop and come in. It's really amazing to see the energy of all that take place and especially the lightning strikes and Thunder. It's better than most action movies - ha. I hope that you had a great weekend and rested for the next week.      This month we are working on brain health and especially as the kids get back to school and being able to learn correctly. The article that I've e...

Having Fun

Hello Natural Health Family. I hope everyone had some fun this weekend whether you got out to the races, the picnics, or just spent some time relaxing with family. Today I wanted to talk about why recreation is important for our health and how it is important for our health and well being. Many people tend to stay busy. They are constantly working on something that could be related to work, the house, the yard, or other projects. It is of course good to have a strong work ethic. However, when we overtax our brain and bodies we can’t perform efficiently. Thus our productivity can go down. It might not be that we can’t do what we need to do at the time, but later not be able to do other work because we either feel physically or mentally drained. This can build up over time leading to other health issues. We all think that we will always have something to do or things will never get done. Whether this is true or not, which it may be, we can see that we might as well enjoy life whe...

Immune System

Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation -      Another great weekend and it seems that summer is finally here. It's a great time to take a moment and enjoy the nice weather because soon it will be June 20th, the summer solstice, and the days will become shorter from then on. Springtime and early summer get away from us so quickly because we are busy with  outdoor activities and just recovering from winter. I think that's why summer seems to be so short because we're so busy and trying to sneak in vacations and some rest in there as well. Make sure and enjoy the sunshine and work on getting those tans, but not too much. We need to store up the vitamin D for the winter months so get it now while the getting is good. The sunshine and Vitamin D help the immune system to strengthen and we will definitely need that this fall and winter.      There is so much good information coming out now about viruses and vaccines and I think som...

More Good News on Ivermectin

STORY AT-A-GLANCE Ivermectin is an antiparasitic drug that may be even more useful against COVID-19 than hydroxychloroquine (HCQ). However, like HCQ, use of ivermectin has been globally suppressed, discouraged and even warned against, despite decades of safe use for other ailments In the U.S., the Frontline COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC) has been calling for widespread adoption of Ivermectin, both as a prophylactic and for the treatment of all phases of COVID-19 What makes ivermectin particularly useful in COVID-19 is the fact that it works both in the initial viral phase of the illness, when antivirals are required, as well as in the inflammatory stage, when the viral load drops off and anti-inflammatories become necessary A scientific review funded by the WHO found ivermectin reduced COVID-19 deaths by 75%. It also increased viral clearance. A meta-analysis of a greater number of studies found a 68% reduction in deaths Despite robust scientific support for ivermectin, ...

Women's Health and Prevention

Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation -       Did you enjoy your weekend? There was a little different weather for everyone. We had some sunshine, some cold weather, some warmer weather, and some rain. Thankfully no snow! Everything is growing up so nicely and the trees are finally getting their leaves growing out so everything is looking beautiful. I know many of the ladies are getting their flowers in and hopefully no more freezes. The spring allergy season is in full bloom though and we're going through a lot of Albizia  Complex for that purpose. Another  great product that I have found that works very well for spring colds and lung congestion that hangs on is our product called PulMaCo. It has many interesting ingredients but one that I found that is most interesting is the fennel seed extract in it and these are great to help the body rid itself of viruses in the respiratory tract area. There are other sources, like certain pine need...

Enjoying the Moment

Hello again! The weekend was great but time to start another week. Last weekend I went golfing. I do not golf much and definitely learned where I could improve. Nonetheless, I also noticed how easy it was to compare myself to others rather than just enjoying what I was doing. When I started to have fun and enjoy the scenery I was able to play better. Oftentimes overthinking can throw us off of what to do. Let’s talk about our ability to be where we are instead of thinking we need to be somewhere else.   Have you ever been somewhere, say a vacation spot or just doing a fun activity and thought that you should be doing something else? Many times when we are somewhere to have a good time or we may be doing something as little as going for a walk on a nice day we start having thoughts about what we are supposed to be doing or need to be doing even though we know that we can get to it later. There are times when we are bored or have nothing to do but feel we need to look at ...

A Different Lens

Hello Natural Health Family. It appears that spring is here with fluctuations of warm and cold. As the season changes we start to see things differently such as the changing colors of the grass and trees. We start to notice different nuances that we might have not been able to notice before. Whether it is the anticipation of new activities that we can do or just more sunshine, our attitude changes. When our attitude changes about life in general than we have a different view of it. Today let’s examine the idea between life happening to you and life happening for you.  Some may think life is happening to them. This of course is not a wrong way of thinking. However, it may lead people to think that they can’t do anything about it and then complain when something doesn’t go the way that they want it to. This may lead to reasoning that they can’t get what they want and life is always going to be like this. People then tend to think that no matter what they do life will always ...

DNRs Given to Learning Disabled COVID Patients

Analysis by  Dr. Joseph Mercola STORY AT-A-GLANCE During the COVID-19 pandemic, investigations suggest do-not-resuscitate orders (DNRs) have been used improperly, including being assigned to people with learning disabilities without their knowledge or consent Interim findings suggest that advance care decisions were made inappropriately during the pandemic due to a “combination of increasing pressures and rapidly developing guidance” Amnesty International received reports from care home managers that clinical commissioning groups had asked them to insert DNR forms into residents’ files as a “blanket approach” Research shows COVID-19 patients with a DNR had a higher mortality rate than COVID-19 patients without a DNR It’s important that you advocate for yourself or your loved one regarding DNR orders and other advance directives if hospitalization or placement in a care home occurs for any reason Do-not-resuscitate orders, or DNR orders, are medical orders that instruct heath...

Nutrition Response Testing

Hello everyone in Natural Health Nation -        Well I know some people who really like winter and they are getting their wish now for sure. I was hoping we would get by with  an easy winter but I guess we're having it now and that's fine, let's get it over with. It looks like next week will warm up and hopefully that'll lead us towards better weather and springtime. I hope that you haven't had too much trouble with the cold, like your car not starting and not having to shovel too much snow. We're living in a different house this winter than last, and just learning about how all the snow drifts and the differences. You just don't know how things are going to react when it's this cold. You’ve just got to love that global warming - ha.        We are still in heart month, so we're talking a lot about that in our  Health shops. Hopefully you had a great Valentine's Day and didn't eat too much chocolate. ...

Patience

Hello Natural Health Family. Happy Day After Superbowl Day! We are off to another week and it is getting cold and snowy out there. With the cold and snow the roads are getting a little more slick. This is when it is important not to rush to where you are going and take your time. Another way to say it is being more patient. And that is what we will talk about today, Patience.  Patience can mean many things to many people. Sometimes we think of patience as simply waiting for something in our lives. However, patience can be used in many different areas of life. When we intend to achieve something in our lives we must exercise patience. Many great people before us who achieved great feats failed many times before. They didn’t know when, but knew that whatever they wanted to achieve was possible. Patience is also important when we talk about our relationship with others. Many people talk about patience being a virtue but then don’t practice it in their own lives. Patience is a p...
