Be A Student

Hello Natural Health Family. I imagine everyone enjoyed some of their weekend. Over the past weekend I got the opportunity to drive up to Omaha, Nebraska to help move out a relative. It was quite the weekend of moving different items in and out of houses. During the moving process I noticed how certain events caused people in general to become more frustrated than other times. However, when I changed my attitude from thinking about everything to just doing it, that is when everything kept flowing.  Many times in our lives we want to plan everything out to the smallest of detail. Of course planning to a degree is important for anything we want to accomplish in life. However, we must realize that things can come up in our lives that can throw us off course so to speak. During the weekend, we planned on having everything moved and be back by a certain time. We planned to get back and be able to do something else in Quincy. Guess what? Plans changed. We didn’t get back till much later.

Got Fatigue?

I hope that you enjoyed your weekend, I know that we did. I'm  trying to take the time to look at nature and see that everything is Greening up and see  how fast things can actually grow with the correct amount of rain and warmer temperatures. It seems like in previous years, this time of year seems to sneak by so quickly and then we're into the middle of summer and just miss it. It's a great time of year and we should all try to enjoy it. With all the trees and flowers and things growing quickly, there is lots of pollen out there and people are needing help with sinus issues. We have some very good strategies here at  Natural Health to handle these symptoms without more drugs confusing the issue. We are here to help you and yours.      This week’s topic for our health shop is chronic fatigue syndrome. This syndrome  is a good example of a diagnosis that is treated medically but there are many underlying reasons for it that are not even looked at. A very simple one is th

More Good News on Ivermectin

STORY AT-A-GLANCE Ivermectin is an antiparasitic drug that may be even more useful against COVID-19 than hydroxychloroquine (HCQ). However, like HCQ, use of ivermectin has been globally suppressed, discouraged and even warned against, despite decades of safe use for other ailments In the U.S., the Frontline COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC) has been calling for widespread adoption of Ivermectin, both as a prophylactic and for the treatment of all phases of COVID-19 What makes ivermectin particularly useful in COVID-19 is the fact that it works both in the initial viral phase of the illness, when antivirals are required, as well as in the inflammatory stage, when the viral load drops off and anti-inflammatories become necessary A scientific review funded by the WHO found ivermectin reduced COVID-19 deaths by 75%. It also increased viral clearance. A meta-analysis of a greater number of studies found a 68% reduction in deaths Despite robust scientific support for ivermectin, the

Keep It Simple

Hello again! I hope everyone had some fun during the weekend. Last weekend I went to a seminar and learned more and more. It is always fun to learn new things but also to see what it is that I can let go. It seems that in this day and age that we are searching for so many things on what to do for whatever issue that we are trying to solve. However, when we take a step back we can see the best way to go about circumstances in our lives is to just keep it simple.  The human brain is an amazing organ capable of vast amounts of functions. It helps to control and coordinate the many processes needed to sustain our health. When we let it do its thing we tend not to interfere with its natural functioning. However, when we start to overthink and overanalyze we start to make a sort of mess. When our minds become messy our brains become messy which creates issues in our body.  Our brains are problem solving machines. Just like a computer which is able to perform many programs in order to s

Women's Health and Prevention

Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation -       Did you enjoy your weekend? There was a little different weather for everyone. We had some sunshine, some cold weather, some warmer weather, and some rain. Thankfully no snow! Everything is growing up so nicely and the trees are finally getting their leaves growing out so everything is looking beautiful. I know many of the ladies are getting their flowers in and hopefully no more freezes. The spring allergy season is in full bloom though and we're going through a lot of Albizia  Complex for that purpose. Another  great product that I have found that works very well for spring colds and lung congestion that hangs on is our product called PulMaCo. It has many interesting ingredients but one that I found that is most interesting is the fennel seed extract in it and these are great to help the body rid itself of viruses in the respiratory tract area. There are other sources, like certain pine needles, but this product is already on our

These Herbs and Spices Can Help Deter Diabetes

STORY AT-A-GLANCE Type 2 diabetes may be helped by making simple changes to your nutrition plan, including adding Ceylon cinnamon supplements that in studies lowered fasting glucose levels after 12 weeks of treatment Ginger not only reduces fasting blood sugar (FBS) and hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) measurements as well as inflammation, but also modulates the immune system and acts as an antioxidant Fenugreek seeds lowered FBS and HbA1c in studies, even in those on diabetes medication The aromatic herb rosemary reduced the risk of obesity and metabolic syndrome in an animal study; in humans it reduces blood glucose in a dose-dependent manner Lowering blood sugar is a surprising benefit of consuming cannabis; other benefits include pain control and the treatment of epilepsy and inflammatory bowel disease. It also may positively affect those infected with COVID-19 Based on estimates from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) in 2005, the total prevalence of diabetes was

Aging: A different perspective

Welcome back Natural Health Family! I wanted to talk about a particular topic that I hear every now and then from others. The topic today will be centered upon aging and the way we view aging can help us have a better life. Life is short so this blog will be short and sweet. Let’s see how aging is not so much a curse, but can be seen as a blessing.  There are many people in their older age that do very well and others who may not do well. This can show us that it is not aging but it can be other variables. One important aspect could very well be how we view aging. One study showed that when people had a more positive outlook on aging that people lived on average 7.5 years longer. That is a very significant number and shows us the power of our outlook on different ideas.  When you think about getting older what goes through your mind? People can view aging many different ways. We may think about both aspects, the so-called bad and good. The bad may be that we can’t move as fast, w

Breast Cancer and Deodorants

Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation -      I hope that you all had a great Mother's Day weekend and were able to enjoy being outside on Saturday. Sunday was a little tough with the rain and wind and cold but don't worry, it will change to Heat & Dry eventually. I really find it interesting that a couple weeks ago when it was really warm, the trees budded out and looked like they were going to have all their leaves on quickly. The cooler weather, almost colder, has slowed the trees down a lot but they're finally getting more leaves and the grass is growing quite well. We're actually having a spring this year.      May for us is women's health month so during the health shop this week, we're talking about pregnancy and fertility. Fertility has become quite an issue for young couples and both sexes have issues to work out. Between the environmental chemicals and the lack of good nutritional support and understanding over the past years and decades, would
