What is Normal?

Welcome back Natural Health Family. I imagine everyone was able to have at least some fun during the weekend. It seems as though many people are starting to question many topics about what is going on nowadays. Much information out there is being spread that may lead many to be confused about what to do. It may cause us to overthink and overanalyze everything not being sure what is the truth. Today we are going to talk about a truth that has been forgotten over the years. This truth is simply this: Health is Our Natural State of Being .  Have you ever contemplated why it appears that there is so much illness and dis-ease in the world? Why we have been led to think that many of the health issues are from causes outside of our control. That we are predestined to have health issues due to our heritage or circumstances. In today’s world chronic illness is seen as common in much of the population. According to the CDC, 6/10 people have one chronic illness and 4/10 have two or m...

Technology

Hello Natural Health Family. Today I wanted to talk about technology. Science has come a long way and we have been introduced to many things that help us in our daily lives. However, when speaking of technology we tend to forget the power of the human body. I will briefly discuss some great aspects of the human body as it relates to health and functioning.  Have you ever stopped and thought about all the different functions that your body performs every minute or even every second? I bet not. Your body performs many functions all the time including replicating millions of cells per second, defending you from bacteria and viruses, digesting your food, breathing without you thinking about it, pumping blood all around your body and so on. Isn’t it amazing that it does so much without us even having to think about it. Now to get even more precise. Your heart beats 2 gallons per minute through roughly 60,000 miles of blood vessels. Every cell in your body goes through the order...

Brain Health and Back to School

Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation-             Another beautiful weekend and I hope you were able to enjoy it. Temperatures are getting a little cooler but still warm enough to enjoy the outside and especially if you’re around water. We did a lot of floating over the weekend and really enjoyed the refreshing cooler water. The sunshine is great and were building our stores of vitamin D. I hope you can do the same and, again, don’t forget to use coconut oil on those suntanned areas and stay hydrated with lots of good water and sea salt or mineral salt.             Our topic for this month is on Brain Health and getting back to school. The article that I’ve included is very relative to this in that everyone’s worried about the masks and social distancing stuff but no one’s looking at how to get actually healthy and not worry about all this virus stuff. What folks e...

Connection

Hello to all of the great people of the Natural Health Family! I wanted to express my appreciation to all who are a part of the Natural Health Family and to share that we love serving you and helping you to feel great. We continue to learn more ways to help you and want to stay up to date as possible. However, I also wanted to illustrate the point that healing doesn’t come from outside but within and that it's not going to be the next best thing or product that is going to help people to stay healthy but to understand how the body functions to bring about great health. Two topics I am going to talk about is first how we are all connected and why it is important to help one another. The other topic is again where true health and healing come from. How are we all connected? I have talked about quantum before but to reiterate, quantum is a branch of physics that sees the world as all energy. We tend to think that our bodies and the things we touch are physical and non moving objects...

The Role of Metabolic Health in Better COVID-19 Outcomes

STORY AT-A-GLANCE Your metabolic health has a significant impact on COVID-19 severity, and at least 9 in 10 Americans are metabolically unhealthy One of the classic changes associated with insulin resistance, obesity and metabolic syndrome is overactivation of the innate immune system, with decreasing activity in the adaptive immune system When it comes to healthy aging, it's not your biological age that matters but, rather, your immune and metabolic age, both of which are malleable and can be improved through simple lifestyle changes Research shows that when blood sugar is well-controlled and there's less glycemic variability, people do better when contracting COVID-19. When they have high levels of glycemic variability, which is indicative of insulin resistance, they fare much worse Return guest Dr. Paul Saladino is a board-certified psychiatrist and also board certified in nutrition. He wrote “The Carnivore Code,” which just came out in an updated second edition. In this int...

Brain Health

Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation-             Another great weekend! It was sure nice to have some cooler temperatures and a little rain in there. It’s keeping everything so green, even the yards and grasses. In many years, it’s dryer during July and the heat turns things brown but this year it sure is staying green and luscious. I hope that you were able to get outside and work on your vitamin D activation. Don’t forget about using coconut oil on suntan areas and eating salt to keep yourself hydrated.             Our topic for August is Brain Health and is important as the kids, hopefully, get back to school and for the adults to get back to work from vacations and such. I’m including an article that talks about correcting metabolism to help with immune system strengthening and this goes for all systems in the body, even brain health and proper function. Let’s face i...

Darkness & Light in Regards To Health

Happy Easter to all those who celebrate it and happy spring to all others. Springtime marks the time for new beginnings. A time, especially in the situation at hand, that creates change in our lives. In what seems to be a time of darkness and confusion, we will emerge in a new light.  Let’s talk about darkness and light in regards to health. It is our human nature when we get hurt or have a certain health problem come up we look outside of us for answers. We tend to think that we must have “caught” something when we feel ill. Like the primitive man before, if a branch fell from a tree and hit us we would naturally think that pain and illness happens from outside the body. We would then be focused on our external environment and always scanning what is around us that may cause us ill. When we think this way, we become more focused on the problem or darkness of our lives. This causes us to always seek answers to why we have a problem or what the problem is. We tend to seek other...
