Sun Health

Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation -      Well I heard people complaining last month or so about the ground being dry and I think after this weekend, that problem is over. We should have lots of May flowers after all these April Showers and the moisture should last us a while. It seems we always get at least one or two big rains during the Spring and Saturday's rain was one of those big ones. Then comes along this week and it's going to  seem cold but it's actually just Spring weather. We're starting to use more of our allergy relief nutrition as the trees are all budding out and more pollen and dust in the air. At least that's one good use for a masks - ha.      This month we're talking about food and environmental allergies and Sun health. The article that I've enclosed looks at the lack of minerals throughout the population due to two main factors, one being the  soils that our food are grown on are deficient and...

Spring Allergies

Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation -      What a great weekend! It sure is nice to have warmer weather back and we're starting to see those lawn mowers work. It's hard to beat the smell of fresh-cut grass on a sunny day. I hope you were able to get out in the sun and activate some vitamin D. Vitamin D is in all good fats and oils and your body can convert them into an active form with sunshine. That's why it's important to eat good oils and fats in the diet and have a healthy liver that can digest and absorb them. It's not only about what goes in your mouth but how the body utilizes the nutrition. We do a lot...

What Does Health Mean To You?

Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation-             Another great weekend but it’s starting to get dry. The temperatures were nice but it looks like it’s going to get warmer this week. Don’t forget to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water and getting some sea salt or mineral salt in the diet. It seems that every year when school starts it gets hot but it won’t last long. Fall is just around the corner and it’s a great time of year too.             Our theme for this month has been on brain health and in our health shop this week were talking about hydration and exercise. I love to talk about salt because people have been told for so long that salt is bad for them because of blood pressure issues, and while that may be somewhat true for processed salt, our bodies need good quality mineral salt or sea salt for the kidneys to work correctly, and many other functions...
