Vitamins and Minerals

I hope that you had a great weekend despite the weather. I had to take a trip to Central Michigan and it was warmer there than it was here in Quincy. The first part of the trip was traveling in whiteout conditions and not being able to see the road until we got to Pittsfield and then not bad from there on. The weather can be a stress not only because of the cold temperatures and being stuck inside but when trying to travel and the conditions on the roads. The stress can lead to nutritional deficiencies as the body is using more of its stores to handle these stresses.

Our topic for tonight’s health shop is vitamins and minerals. We’ll be talking about where they come from and how the body can absorb them, two topics you never hear about on mainstream media advertising. For example, the Ensure product has artificial vitamins and minerals that come from rock sources and are basically unusable for nutrition, and is full of sugar, just with people in nursing homes and such places need-not.

The article that I’ve enclosed is on bio sludge and again being aware of where your food is grown and what things the plants are absorbing, not only minerals and the correct sources of those, but what else is there. We stress buying organic foods in our office or even growing your own to know where they come from. We are in very interesting times right now as you can see from the CDC’s own website, rates far degenerative diseases are going up. This means that something is not working.

At Natural Health, we help patients figure out what they need to be healthy and optimum. The reason I went to Michigan was to bury a person who had died of cancer and was told she was cancer free twice before that. It gives me lots of reason to try to get others to understand why nutrition and health is so important.

Most People Don't Reach Micronutrient Requirements Through Food Alone

STORY AT-A-GLANCE Most adolescents are not getting adequate nutrient intake from diet alone — a finding confirmed from other studies in developed countries such as Spain, France, Portugal and Germany Three-quarters of adolescents consumed less than 54% of the recommended amounts of healthy foods like fruits, vegetables and dairy products Nearly three-quarters of the youth exceeded the recommended limit for sweet and salty snacks — by 453% When nutrient intake was considered from diet alone, adolescents often consumed less than recommended amounts of the fat-soluble vitamins A, D and E along with the water-soluble vitamins folate, biotin and pantothenic acid The use of dietary supplements helped to increase the adolescents’ intake of vitamins and minerals, particularly magnesium and vitamin C, but this isn’t a replacement for a healthy, nutrient-rich diet While it’s possible to get all the vitamins and minerals your body needs by eating a healthy diet, most people fall short. The issu

A Blessing

Hi Natural Health Family. We got some rain this weekend! It was definitely refreshing and great to see something different. I am sure many of the farmers were happy to see that along with anyone that has grass. Time to mow again haha. Just like waiting for the rain we can be more patient in other aspects of our life.  Have you ever had something happen that you thought was bad or perhaps a mistake by yourself or someone else? However, after perhaps days, weeks, months you look back and realize if that didn’t happen then you would have never realized something that helped you down the road, a blessing in disguise. Many times people get caught up in thinking that this event that happened was so bad or that it should have never happened. When we are quick to judge something then we may keep ourselves from seeing something more clearly. Of course it is okay when we get frustrated from time to time, but then we can redirect ourselves to see whatever happened in a different way we can le

Enjoy The Show

Hi Natural Health Family! Imagine everyone enjoyed their weekend with some great weather. Did you have a win from last week? Could be something small or a big accomplishment. Whatever it was, I hope it brought you joy in some way. Sometimes life can seem strugglesome, difficult, and overwhelming. We have the ability to reframe the way we see life. Let’s talk about our ability to respond to the way we see the world around us.  Have you ever been watching a tv show or movie and thought “wow there really isn’t anything going on in the show, there are no ups and downs, no twists and turns, it just seems so bland and boring.” Maybe you have thought of that but I would guess that you probably didn’t. The movie with the director, producer, and actors is meant to grab your attention. The director wanted to captivate the audience, of course to sell more movies, but also for the people watching to get lost in the experience of watching the movie. If the movie is really good we almost forget we
