Graditude

Welcome back Natural Health Family. I imagine everyone had a good weekend and starting this new year well. As we head into 2024 many people may have goals, intentions, resolutions, etc. that they want to achieve. This is all great and it appears that more people are wanting to find more ways that they can help themselves in many aspects of life. Although 2023 might not have been the way we wanted it to go or just didn’t get done what we wanted to we know that we can keep moving forward, even if it’s just a few steps. This year I believe for many people will come down to getting their health back. Let’s talk about some aspects that can help us with that endeavor. With so much information out there it can be difficult to know where to turn. Many times, especially if you get on social media or google it seems like there can be two opposite answers to the same question. However, if you think about the health of our nation and that of the world we can see that the current paradigm or ...

Focus

2024… Here.. We.. Go! Hi Natural Health Family. I imagine everyone is off to a good start to the 2024 calendar year. 2023 was quite a journey and thank you to all who were a part of it here at Natural Health. I would think by now everyone has heard of New Year’s resolutions. Sometimes this can be fun for people and can bring them new opportunities for creating something new in their lives. However, many times we don’t necessarily keep up with the resolutions. Instead, I would offer up a new way of seeing this year. Rather than wanting to change the way we do things, let’s change the way we see and focus on things in life. Have you ever looked up what focus means? One resource explains it as “point of convergence,” from Latin “hearth, fireplace.” Imagine, if you will, wanting to start a fire. The only things you had were a magnifying glass and a piece of paper. Now we know if we are able to take the light from the sun and focus its rays on a single point it can bring enough heat t...

Welcome 2024

Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation-                 I hope that you had a great holiday season, and survived-ha.   The weather wasn’t too bad so it made travel easier.   We did have a little snow, it just didn’t end up on Christmas.   There are plenty of Christmas scenes on YouTube with snow so we can watch those if you want to see that sort of thing.   I hope that you were able to enjoy the holidays and not get stressed out too much.   Remember that all of the “bad” foods that you might have gotten into can reduce the strength of the immune system and lend towards sickness.   We’re already hearing of quite a few cases of flu and colds from not only the recent holidays but from Halloween and Thanksgiving celebrations as well.   We have lots of great products here at Natural Health, to help with strengthening the immune system.   We still have a long way t...

Sepsis May Be Responsible for 20% of Deaths Worldwide

STORY AT-A-GLANCE Sepsis is a life-threatening condition triggered by a systemic infection that causes your body to overreact and launch an excessive and highly damaging immune response Unless promptly diagnosed and treated, sepsis can rapidly progress to multiple-organ failure and death. In the U.S., 1.7 million adults develop sepsis each year, and nearly 270,000 die as a result According to the most comprehensive global analysis to date, sepsis is responsible for 1 in 5 deaths worldwide each year — double that of previous estimates Despite its prevalence, sepsis is frequently overlooked, even by health care professionals. For this reason, it’s important to familiarize yourself with its signs and symptoms, and to take immediate action if you suspect sepsis Sepsis has been identified as a major contributor in influenza deaths. Some symptoms of sepsis also resemble those of influenza, so it’s important to know how to distinguish the two Editor's Note: This article is a reprint. It...

What A Year and Sugar

6 Days Till Christmas! (Or whenever you see this message) Hi Natural Health Family. We are winding down to the end of the year. I imagine everyone is doing well and ready for the times ahead. It seems like there has been many changes throughout the year and I’m sure it won’t stop next year. Now, this month we are talking about sugar since it can be present during a lot of our end of the year festivities.. With that being said, I want to explore another way we can look at sugar.     When talking about sugar we can talk about a wide range of topics. Let’s first start off on the aspect that as a society we have lost many of our traditional ways to make food. This could be for various reasons such as convenience and marketing schemes that direct us to buy certain products. When we transitioned from eating whole foods that were prepared by hand and a lot of care was put into it to machine manufactured made to preserve shelf life kind of foods we changed many ways o...
