Love The Game

Welcome back Natural Health Family. I imagine everyone had a good Super Bowl weekend regardless if you watched the game or not. Growing up playing years of football, I am of course familiar with the game. Also, being Valentine's Day, we can talk about heart and how it contributes to desired outcomes in life. Let’s talk about balance and how enjoying the process is important to achieving the goal.  Have you ever heard of the underdog story? Or I might ask who hasn’t heard of the underdog story. You know the one where the matchup between two opponents seems at great odds but nevertheless the one that is supposedly not as good as the other opponent wins. It is the classic story that everyone likes because it sparks something within all of us. It shows us that it isn’t always about the person or team that has the most talent. It’s not always about who has the greatest strength or power. It’s not always about the person who knows the game well. Of course, those are key factors ...

Let's Talk About Love and Your Liver

Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation-                 Well, were still fighting the cold yet but the forecast looks better. I’m always glad to get rid of any snow or ice we’ve had before we get any more and it looks like this week, we should get rid of what’s left. I keep thinking about the smell of fresh cut grass and hope that will be here soon, even just green grass will look wonderful. Were getting patients coming in who have slipped on the ice or have done too much snow scooping server using a lot of Cataplex ACP and Boswellia complex. These two products help the body to heal and are in activity anti-inflammatory but not by stopping inflammation but by helping the body to heal up and to get over the inflammation. Most folks don’t realize inflammation is important for healing but if you don’t have the correct building blocks for the body to heal itself, inflammation, and pain, hangs around. We go ...

The Heart

Hey Natural Health Family. This month is heart health month. With heart dis-ease being one of the top illnesses in the U.S. we can see that there is obviously an issue with how we see health. Our health is greatly important if we want to live any life or a life that brings us joy. When we are healthy we feel good and when we feel good we are able to have a better outlook on our lives. However, even with the greatest technological advances in modern healthcare, the U.S. is ranked close to the bottom in our health outcomes. Let’s open up our minds and hearts and talk about a different perspective of health.  Have you ever wondered about the increase in all the dis-eases in the past years? It appears that illness is the new normal. Even the CDC shows on their website that 6/10 people have one or more chronic dis-ease and 4/10 have two or more. For many people this makes us further consider what has changed or why haven’t we been improving in our health as a nation. Of course th...

Heart Health Month

Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation-                 I hope that you enjoyed the weekend despite the cold. The forecast is looking better for the following week so maybe were getting away from the frigid temperatures and heading toward spring. It was cloudy all day here so I’m hoping any local groundhogs did not see their shadow and we’re headed for an early spring-ha. Don’t forget to keep your house humidifier’s working as the furnace running more causes the air to dry. And also keep using sea salt or Cal-Amo, that we have here at the office, to add the electrolytes to the hydration you’re getting. Also, hopefully, we will be able to get outside more soon and get the sun to help us produce more active vitamin D. If you’re noticing dry skin, try getting more of the good oils in your diet like coconut oil and butter, lard or tallow.            ...

This Too Shall Pass

Welcome back Natural Health Family. I imagine everyone is doing well. This past weekend I got to celebrate the wedding of a good friend of mine. As with any wedding, there was plenty of planning and prepping for all the activities that were on the schedule. However, it seemed like people were getting caught up in having everything perfect that they forgot to enjoy the day. Then the next day it is there and gone. So today let’s talk about what can help us to enjoy the day.  When talking about what can help us let’s first talk about what might be limiting us. In many ways we can plan and coordinate various events in our life. It could be certain trips that we go, family functions, and others. However, many times we forget that it may not all go according to plan. Mostly when we want everything to be perfect, we start to fear what might happen that is not part of the plan. Our minds start to create stories of what could be called “worse case scenarios.”  We may fee...
