Is Tart Cherry Worthy of the Hype?

Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation- I hope that you enjoyed your weekend even though there were still some snow around. It’s not Spring yet but at least we're out of the deep freeze from the week before. I always like to see the snow that we have melt so that if we get more, it doesn’t turn into big piles and cause more trouble. We need the moisture because it was dry last year, but I’d rather have it in nice warm rain. With all this change in weather, we’re getting a lot of patients complaining of sinus congestion. We’re using a lot of Antronex which is a nutrition to help the liver drain lymphatics. Antronex is actually a food product that is good for the body rather than using over the counter medications that actually make the liver more toxic. This of course makes the trouble worse and you keep having sinus congestion and not fixing anything, and you keep buying the medication-just what they want. The article that I’m sending along this week looks at the use of tart cher...

Did you know that our brain is hardwired for survival?

Buenos Dias Natural Health Family! Buenos dias means good day. A little change for everyone. This week's healthshop topic is hypo/hyperthyroidism which means that the thyroid for whatever reason is not functioning the way it is supposed to be. When we think about our health we can choose to change the way we think about it. In today’s world, we have been accustomed to thinking that we are destined for illness and issues as we get older, that sickness is normal, that people's symptoms are due to having a certain diagnosis, etc. Today I want to welcome you to explore another option and to see health differently.  Did you know that our brain is hardwired for survival? This is not a good or bad thing because at times it can be very helpful. Think about a time when you needed to watch your step, know when to stop such as at an intersection on the road, be able to hit the brakes when needed, or not walk over the edge of a cliff, etc. These scenarios can help us see that our brain ...

Do you feel tired and worn out?

I hope that you had a great weekend even though it’s still winter. It looks like we’re in for a warming trend if we can get past the ice and get the snow melted off. There are signs that Spring is coming as we’re noticing the days are getting longer and hopefully were out of the deep freeze. We still have to get through February and even March, that sometimes has bad weather. But eventually we will have Spring and enjoy the green grass again.  Don’t forget to keep your vitamin D levels up and we have a great product for that called Cataplex D. We also carry Cod Liver Oil which has vitamin D in it as well. We always try to use natural products that have all the co-factors needed for digestion and absorption rather than work on mega doses of synthetic vitamins. It’s much healthier that way. In our health shops this month, we are talking about Weight and Health. This week we’re talking about Adrenal Fatigue, which almost everyone has, and it becomes worse after the holidays. When the ...

Open up to a new way of seeing life

2024 has already been quite the start with the weather and everything else that goes on. Many times we tend to have thoughts about how life should work or that we assume that it always has to go a certain way. However, I want you to take this opportunity with me now to open up to a new way of seeing life. You see, sometimes life can seem messy, chaotic, and out of sorts. Nonetheless, we can choose how we can respond to such events and circumstances.  Has there ever been a time when life seemed to fall apart and you were losing all control? At the time it probably felt overwhelming, you might have felt like it was impossible to be able to get out of the current situation. You almost felt trapped like there was nothing you could do. This is because our brain can be hardwired for survival and when these events happen it triggers different aspects that can release chemicals in the body that make us gear our nervous system to sense threat or danger. I assure you that many people ...

From One Form To The Next

Welcome back Natural Health Family! Some people have been saying it’s a little colder outside than last week, who would have thought. Although it may be colder, we want to be able to give ourselves the best means to adapt to whatever life presents to us. Metabolism is the week's topic so let’s dive in and see what we can learn.  How many people nowadays have heard the term metabolism? However, many people usually don’t concentrate on it so much but rather weight gain issues, diabetes, fatigue, etc. If you look back at America around 100 years ago you will see a much different world in regards to how people looked. Nevertheless, the reason why we want to bring it back to metabolism is because we want to focus on what we can do for ourselves and our health rather than what issues and labels we have come up within the relatively recent past. You may even wonder why has our general health as a Nation overall declined so much in recent years. Of course that could be a long discus...

Midwest Winter Weather

Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation-                 I hope that you’re hanging in there with his cold weather.  I was listening to some people talking this morning and they were talking about how the cold should kill all the bugs.  I wish that was true but they’ll be back, and not only the bugs we see in the summer on leaves, but the bacteria and viruses that are in and on our bodies all the time.  We hear from the experts about us catching this disease or that disease but the question is why doesn’t everyone catch the disease?  It’s not a question of the bug but a question of the body’s immune system and how strong it is, or isn’t.  Mainstream medicine does not talk much about the immune system because if they did, then you would know that there’s something you can do to help yourself, but if it’s just a happenstance that you come across this or that bug, then you think the...

Understanding the WHO’s Plans for You

STORY AT-A-GLANCE Many have reflected on the fact that Big Pharma has a perverse incentive to promote ill health, as its financial bottom line depends on it. But few understand just how elaborate its efforts to that end are American podcaster and former professor of evolutionary biology Bret Weinstein describes the pharmaceutical industry as an intellectual property racket. Big Pharma patents molecules, compounds and technologies, and then looks for diseases against which their patents can be applied Pharma is engaged in a continuous effort to portray its intellectual properties as more useful and safer than they are, and to persuade the medical establishment, journals, medical societies, hospitals and government to direct people toward drugs they wouldn’t otherwise be taking. So, when COVID-19 happened, the industry was more than prepared to take advantage of it The introduction of the mRNA platform technology was central to the entire COVID response. The technology has a lethal...

Winter Weather

Hello Everyone In Natural Health Nation-                 I hope that you all had a great weekend despite the winter weather.   It’s not extremely bad weather yet but it is winter.   I don’t know if it’s wishful thinking, but I’m noticing that the days are getting a little longer so that we’re going towards Spring sometime soon-ish.   I know that we always have some really bad weather during our winters but every good day is one less bad day hopefully.   As old as I am, I do remember some really good winter’s that had 70° days in them, and some bad winter’s that had a lot of -20° days with snow in them.   It’s just how the weather works.   And don’t forget that this up and down temperature change is a major stressor to the body and we have great nutritional products here to help the body handle these stresses, and all the other ones too.       ...

Could Living With Less Make You Happier and Wealthier?

STORY AT-A-GLANCE While there’s no scientific data to show that living with less stuff will increase your happiness, a growing number of people insist that this is in fact part of the equation An estimated 70% of American homeowners cannot park their car in the garage due to it being filled with stuff that doesn’t fit inside the house In 2016 the average credit card debt for Americans who carry a balance was $16,000. Meanwhile, financial hardship and work stress are two significant contributors to depression and anxiety. The answer is to buy less Editor's Note: This article is a reprint. It was originally published January 19, 2017. Are you happy? Do you feel your life has meaning and purpose? If the answer is not a resounding yes, have you given thought as to what might be blocking your sense of happiness and purpose? Could it be that you have too much STUFF? I've written a number of articles about the health benefits of happiness and offered many different strategies shown ...
