A Good Change

Hi Natural Health Family! It seemed like there were many things going on this weekend to enjoy others' company and have some fun. So I hope that you were able to partake in one or some of those events. Sometimes events or occasions like these can allow us to be more joyful and to shift our focus in a new direction.

It can be easy to get caught up in all the so-called chaos of the world. It can feel overwhelming especially if we are trying to always fix what is. However, when we are able to let go and bring more joy to our lives through different means, like the festivities that bring people together, it can help us to allow other possibilities to open up. As they say, where one door closes another opens. We can’t be so fixated on what we want to change but more direct our attention to something different to allow it to turn into something different. It’s not only healthy to enjoy different activities and occasions but it’s also a part of life that makes it worth living.

We all have unique talents and gifts. We all share different tastes in what we enjoy as well. However, one way that we are all similar is that we are better when we work together and able to connect with one another. So take time to see how you can connect with someone or just maybe make somebody else’s day even if it’s in a small way.

Have a great week!

Dr. Chip

Good Food, Digestion and Absorption

Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation-                 I hope that you had a great Thanksgiving and were actually grateful for all the food that we ate. There is a lot of good foods in the Thanksgiving meal, but also some that probably weren’t the best for us. We will just have to get back on the good eating bandwagon so that we stay healthy through the rest of these holidays coming up. I try to remind people to stay hydrated because it’s easy to forget to drink water and get your electrolytes. Staying hydrated just helps so many systems of the body and helps the pH to stay correct, which helps keep the bugs, which are in us and on us at all times, under control.                 We had a great Black Friday Open House/Patient Appreciation Day and were very thankful for the folks that came out and enjoyed some food and drink, an...

Breast Health

Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation-             Aren’t the trees beautiful? Fall is such a beautiful time of year and the weather has been outstanding. I hope you were able to get outside and increase your vitamin D stores for the winter. Remember that vitamin D is activated by sunlight so it’s important to get some. Vitamin D is also an oil soluble vitamin so you must be consuming good fats in order to have a good vitamin D source. If you get into the science of vitamin D, you’ll find it comes from cholesterol so the mainstream medicines war on cholesterol causes vitamin D levels to be low and this causes lots of immune system problems and other issues. We help our patients be able to digest and absorb fats and watch that their vitamin D levels are optimum.             The article I’m sending along this week looks at screenings and mammograms and how they can be...
Hello everyone and natural health Nation -      Well we finally got some rain and now I’m beginning to wonder if we could turn it back off. It seems we're never happy - ha. I was surprised to see that the ground had dried out that much in a fairly short amount of time but with the rain we had this weekend, everything should be good for quite a while. I was happy to see the grass and everything green back up and the corn and beans are just growing like mad. We were working out in the rain on Saturday to finish some jobs and it was nice that it was warm. I'm sure we'll get lots of sunshine as the summer progresses and probably need more rain at some point too.      The article I'm sending along today looks at what happens to the human body when you eat processed foods. This is a problem during the summer when everyone gets into vacation mode and doesn't eat nearly as well as they did in the Spring. It's one of our problems in o...
