Hand Grenades

Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation-

I hope that you had a great weekend and we sure enjoyed the sunshine. We tried to sit outside a few times but the wind made it seem cold. The sun was bright and the grass is starting to green up so I think we’re all looking forward to mowing grass for at least the first two or three times. I really love this time of year as there is so much promise in the growing season and is just great to see everything be green again. It’s also too early for a lot of pollen so it’s great to be outside. Don’t forget that we have lots of great supplements here at Natural Health to help with allergy symptoms and detoxifying the body.

This week is the fourth Monday of the month so we are having our live health shop this week at 6: 15 on Instagram and Facebook and then will have the recording on Brighteon.com and YouTube. This month were talking about diet, and we don’t mean dieting, but being aware of the foods that are good for the body and necessary for good health, and staying away from what I call the “hand grenades” in the diet that are not really foods, but we eat them anyway. We’ll have a good explanation of that in this week’s health shop and these rules are actually fairly easy to adhere to, but people just don’t know them. When most people’s dietary information comes to McDonald’s and Pepsi, they’re not going to have a healthy outcome. The purpose of our health shops, and patient education workshops, is to help patients remember the good rules of eating and what happens when you don’t. Don’t forget that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

The article that I’m sending along this week looks at the dangers of fake meats. These “foods” are ultra-processed stuff that the body doesn’t use for the purposes that meat is around for. Between the flavor enhancers and the preservatives, these “foods” or not what they appear to be, or are sold to be. These food manufacturers are trying to control the market by getting people to rely on processed foods rather than growing their own foods-like cows and chickens and garden vegetables and the like. They can’t control that! But if they get the public to rely on processed foods that only come from them, and are usually loaded with refined sugars, refined salt, and bad oils, they can control where people spend their money for foods, and don’t give a damn about your health. At Natural Health, we look at it the opposite way where we want people to be healthy and get as much food locally and unprocessed as possible. Not only does it give you food independence, but it tastes better and is so much more healthy for you and your family.

Most People Don't Reach Micronutrient Requirements Through Food Alone

STORY AT-A-GLANCE Most adolescents are not getting adequate nutrient intake from diet alone — a finding confirmed from other studies in developed countries such as Spain, France, Portugal and Germany Three-quarters of adolescents consumed less than 54% of the recommended amounts of healthy foods like fruits, vegetables and dairy products Nearly three-quarters of the youth exceeded the recommended limit for sweet and salty snacks — by 453% When nutrient intake was considered from diet alone, adolescents often consumed less than recommended amounts of the fat-soluble vitamins A, D and E along with the water-soluble vitamins folate, biotin and pantothenic acid The use of dietary supplements helped to increase the adolescents’ intake of vitamins and minerals, particularly magnesium and vitamin C, but this isn’t a replacement for a healthy, nutrient-rich diet While it’s possible to get all the vitamins and minerals your body needs by eating a healthy diet, most people fall short. Enjoy The Show

Hi Natural Health Family! Imagine everyone enjoyed their weekend with some great weather. Did you have a win from last week? Could be something small or a big accomplishment. Whatever it was, I hope it brought you joy in some way. Sometimes life can seem strugglesome, difficult, and overwhelming. We have the ability to reframe the way we see life. Let’s talk about our ability to respond to the way we see the world around us.  Have you ever been watching a tv show or movie and thought “wow there really isn’t anything going on in the show, there are no ups and downs, no twists and turns, it just seems so bland and boring.” Maybe you have thought of that but I would guess that you probably didn’t. The movie with the director, producer, and actors is meant to grab your attention. The director wanted to captivate the audience, of course to sell more movies, but also for the people watching to get lost in the experience of watching the movie. If the movie is really good we almost forget we

A Blessing

Hi Natural Health Family. We got some rain this weekend! It was definitely refreshing and great to see something different. I am sure many of the farmers were happy to see that along with anyone that has grass. Time to mow again haha. Just like waiting for the rain we can be more patient in other aspects of our life.  Have you ever had something happen that you thought was bad or perhaps a mistake by yourself or someone else? However, after perhaps days, weeks, months you look back and realize if that didn’t happen then you would have never realized something that helped you down the road, a blessing in disguise. Many times people get caught up in thinking that this event that happened was so bad or that it should have never happened. When we are quick to judge something then we may keep ourselves from seeing something more clearly. Of course it is okay when we get frustrated from time to time, but then we can redirect ourselves to see whatever happened in a different way we can le
