Sun Health

Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation-

I hope that you enjoyed your weekend. It was a mixed bag of cold and warm and wind and rain and it just seems like it can’t make up its mind which way to go. But that is early spring in the Midwest and eventually we will be complaining that it’s too hot. We’re trying to get all the work done in our house that we can before the good weather gets here so we can go outside and work in the yard. It’s nice to see the grass grinning up but we’ve got a lot of weeds to take care of-ha. I hope that you can get outside soon and soak up the sunshine and activate that good vitamin D to help you be healthy.

Speaking of good sunshine, Sun Health is the topic of our health shop this week. Most folks don’t realize that sunshine helps to activate vitamin D so that it works in the body to promote health. All we’ve heard from mainstream medicine is that you must stay out of the sun because of skin cancer. Well baloney! Human beings have been out of the sunshine for millennia and it’s only been lately we’ve had problems with skin cancer because of the lack of good nutrition in the body and the immune system’s inability to take care of cell growth that goes awry. We’re not saying that you should go out and get a sunburn, but some sun exposure is very good for the body if done correctly.

The article I’m sending along looks at the problem of half of Americans having issues with heart disease. That’s not a very good report card for mainstream medicine! It sounds like a broken record, but poor diets and hectic lifestyles are what’s behind all that. Covering up the problem with medication to lower blood pressure numbers or using statins to lower cholesterol numbers is not the answer. These treatments actually cause more problems in the long term. The solution to this is to look at the underlying cause of these problems and address those. We do that every day here at Natural Health, asking patients bodies what they need to be healthy and helping them change their diet to avoid the “hand grenades” that cause these degenerative diseases. Diabetes is right there with it and can be reversed easily if you know how-and we do. It’s really a shame that with all the technology that we have in big medicine, they can’t work towards actually getting people healthy but are more concerned about making money. Shameful!

I just realized that this is Holy Week and I hope that you all have a great Easter and are able to enjoy it with your friends and families. I know that all my patients that are taking supplements and watching their diets will have no problem with this covid malarkey but we have fun watching the news and seeing what craziness they talk about. Our bodies were designed by the creater to be healthy and it’s fairly easy to do.

Most People Don't Reach Micronutrient Requirements Through Food Alone

STORY AT-A-GLANCE Most adolescents are not getting adequate nutrient intake from diet alone — a finding confirmed from other studies in developed countries such as Spain, France, Portugal and Germany Three-quarters of adolescents consumed less than 54% of the recommended amounts of healthy foods like fruits, vegetables and dairy products Nearly three-quarters of the youth exceeded the recommended limit for sweet and salty snacks — by 453% When nutrient intake was considered from diet alone, adolescents often consumed less than recommended amounts of the fat-soluble vitamins A, D and E along with the water-soluble vitamins folate, biotin and pantothenic acid The use of dietary supplements helped to increase the adolescents’ intake of vitamins and minerals, particularly magnesium and vitamin C, but this isn’t a replacement for a healthy, nutrient-rich diet While it’s possible to get all the vitamins and minerals your body needs by eating a healthy diet, most people fall short. Enjoy The Show

Hi Natural Health Family! Imagine everyone enjoyed their weekend with some great weather. Did you have a win from last week? Could be something small or a big accomplishment. Whatever it was, I hope it brought you joy in some way. Sometimes life can seem strugglesome, difficult, and overwhelming. We have the ability to reframe the way we see life. Let’s talk about our ability to respond to the way we see the world around us.  Have you ever been watching a tv show or movie and thought “wow there really isn’t anything going on in the show, there are no ups and downs, no twists and turns, it just seems so bland and boring.” Maybe you have thought of that but I would guess that you probably didn’t. The movie with the director, producer, and actors is meant to grab your attention. The director wanted to captivate the audience, of course to sell more movies, but also for the people watching to get lost in the experience of watching the movie. If the movie is really good we almost forget we

A Blessing

Hi Natural Health Family. We got some rain this weekend! It was definitely refreshing and great to see something different. I am sure many of the farmers were happy to see that along with anyone that has grass. Time to mow again haha. Just like waiting for the rain we can be more patient in other aspects of our life.  Have you ever had something happen that you thought was bad or perhaps a mistake by yourself or someone else? However, after perhaps days, weeks, months you look back and realize if that didn’t happen then you would have never realized something that helped you down the road, a blessing in disguise. Many times people get caught up in thinking that this event that happened was so bad or that it should have never happened. When we are quick to judge something then we may keep ourselves from seeing something more clearly. Of course it is okay when we get frustrated from time to time, but then we can redirect ourselves to see whatever happened in a different way we can le
