Nerve Diseases

Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation-

Well I think we’re definitely in the Fall season. Temperatures are getting colder and we might have to use the furnaces soon. It’s great that the tree leaves are still green though, so were not too deep into it yet. Many people tell me that they like Fall and is one of their favorite seasons, but don’t really like what comes after. I think I would have to agree. One of the good things about winter is that we can slow down a little bit. But that’s a few months off so enjoy Fall and realize that nutritional needs will be different as we adapt to the cooler weather. This is one of the reasons that we check patients nutritionally at least 4 times a year, to make sure we keep their needs covered.

The topic for our health shop this week is nerve diseases and will cover a broad spectrum of these. The article that I’m sending along talks about how government controls us with fear, which affects the nerves and makes many people anxious and or depressed. This is the reason that I have started using the phrase “Don’t Worry, Be Healthy”. This is a get people to realize that if they are healthy, they don’t have to worry about all the fear mongering that’s going on. If you had any chance to look at some of the independent media sources that we sent out, you will see that there is no reason for fear anyway. We’re trying to keep our patients informed about different types of conditions but most people are focusing on the virus business going on now. The best phrase I’ve heard to sum up this phenomenon is “the virus is real but the pandemic is fake”. And were back to the point that keeping your body healthy makes it all a mute point.

There’s been a lot of good come out of this pandemic business and I think we’re seeing the actual statistics that are showing the job that mainstream medicine has done over the years to weaken our new systems and really have no consensus of knowledge to handle problems. We need to take responsibility for our own health and make sure that everyone we know has the knowledge they need to be healthy as well. That’s why we’re here at Natural Health, to share that knowledge with our patients. Our free consultations have been very popular for folks who have no idea what we do here. It’s a different health paradigm than most are used to, based on true health and not fear.

Thanks to all who came out and enjoyed the Patient Appreciation BBQ this past Friday!

We look forward to seeing you again at next year's BBQ and to those who were unable to attend this year, we hope to see you next year too!

Patient Testimony:

1.    What was it like before you came in to see us?

Before I came to see Dr. Mark I was stiff in the mornings upon waking.  I suffered headaches, and my menstrual cycle had become abnormal. I suffer from large amounts of stress & anxiety and my general sense of “well-being” was not good.

2.    How is it now?

Now, most days I wake feeling good and refreshed, I have energy throughout the day, my anxiety is more easily managed and my cycle has improved a great deal.  Overall, my sense of “well-being” has improved. While I still don’t feel like I know I probably should, I do feel better than I had and know I am on the right track. (E.V.)

Most People Don't Reach Micronutrient Requirements Through Food Alone

STORY AT-A-GLANCE Most adolescents are not getting adequate nutrient intake from diet alone — a finding confirmed from other studies in developed countries such as Spain, France, Portugal and Germany Three-quarters of adolescents consumed less than 54% of the recommended amounts of healthy foods like fruits, vegetables and dairy products Nearly three-quarters of the youth exceeded the recommended limit for sweet and salty snacks — by 453% When nutrient intake was considered from diet alone, adolescents often consumed less than recommended amounts of the fat-soluble vitamins A, D and E along with the water-soluble vitamins folate, biotin and pantothenic acid The use of dietary supplements helped to increase the adolescents’ intake of vitamins and minerals, particularly magnesium and vitamin C, but this isn’t a replacement for a healthy, nutrient-rich diet While it’s possible to get all the vitamins and minerals your body needs by eating a healthy diet, most people fall short. The ...

Breast Health

Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation-             Aren’t the trees beautiful? Fall is such a beautiful time of year and the weather has been outstanding. I hope you were able to get outside and increase your vitamin D stores for the winter. Remember that vitamin D is activated by sunlight so it’s important to get some. Vitamin D is also an oil soluble vitamin so you must be consuming good fats in order to have a good vitamin D source. If you get into the science of vitamin D, you’ll find it comes from cholesterol so the mainstream medicines war on cholesterol causes vitamin D levels to be low and this causes lots of immune system problems and other issues. We help our patients be able to digest and absorb fats and watch that their vitamin D levels are optimum.             The article I’m sending along this week looks at screenings and mammograms and how they can be...

Communication

Natural Health Family, how is everyone doing? I hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful weekend and got some sunshine. Today let’s talk about communication and why it is important in our lives and for our own health.  Last weekend I explored Colorado. I went snowboarding and hiked a good amount also. I learned a lot just by getting out in nature and noticing different aspects of the forest and parks. One characteristic of the forest that I found interesting was the aspen trees. It appeared that they would appear sporadically in the forest and in groups. I was curious and wanted to learn more about them. I found out that the different aspen trees or tree trunks are not separate but they actually function as one tree. The roots of the tree are well connected so that they are able to communicate and act as one organism. I found this interesting because we tend to think that the whole tree is only about what is on the surface of the ground rather than all the roots and connections...
