Fear and Fatih

Hello Natural Health Family! With our independence day coming I wanted to talk about a topic that seems to be relevant in these times. The topic is the understanding of fear and how faith can counter fear to overcome difficult times for many people.      Many people experience fear in many ways such as thinking about what to say to another person, how to keep everything well financially, how relationships are going, failing to do something, and others. There are many things that people fear nowadays ranging from small insecurities to what may seem like devastating issues. However, if we think about all our ancestors went through to make this nation a free nation then we can see what tremendous things they had to go against to accomplish this heroic task. Our ancestors possessed an attribute that I believe helped balance out the fear they must have felt, the attribute being faith.      When we have faith, we are able to overcome the fear t...

Importance of Vitamin D and C

Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation-             Another great weekend, I hope you were able to enjoy it and get that good vitamin D activating sunshine. It’s definitely getting hot at times and the humidity was up so don’t forget to use more sea salt or mineral salt to keep yourself hydrated. Also using coconut oil on those suntanned or sunburned areas helps the skin to heal itself quickly and get that good tanning process going.             Hard to believe that June is almost gone but looking forward to the July 4 weekend and all the fun that goes with that. I’m talking to a lot of patients about eating as healthy as possible as all these holidays seem to get us into bad habits of eating too much junk food and sugar. There’s lots of good recipes for good foods and we are having some shown on our health shop this week. If you happen to miss it on Monday night, it ...

How Drug Industry Is Countering Diminishing Vaccine Uptake

How Drug Industry Is Countering Diminishing Vaccine Uptake Analysis by  Dr. Joseph Mercola STORY AT-A-GLANCE As lockdowns have kept people at home and out of medical facilities, infant vaccination rates have dropped. This may be why they’ve started promoting baseless claims suggesting common childhood vaccinations might prevent COVID-19 deaths Despite lack of proof, media claims the TB vaccine, measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) and oral polio vaccines might protect against COVID-19 A Singaporean study finds common colds caused by frequently encountered betacoronaviruses might make you more resistant to SARS-CoV-2 infection, and that the resulting immunity might last as long as 17 years If you’ve beat a common cold caused by a OC43 or HKU1 betacoronavirus in the past, you may have a 50/50 chance of having defensive T-cells that can recognize and help defend against SARS-CoV-2 Other studies have also discovered that many appear to have prior resistance to SARS-CoV-2. One ...

Being Present

Hello Natural Health Family! I hope everyone had a great Father’s Day weekend and are ready to have another great week. Today I wanted to talk about being present and whether we have really considered how present we are with the events and people around us.  When I say being present I mean that we have our undivided attention on one thing. In many situations people are not aware of how they are letting their minds trail off to many different topics. Often, when having conversations, many people are thinking about other things such as what is for dinner, what is needed to be done around the house, what they are going to say after the other person is done talking, etc.. When people constantly let their mind wander about things other than what is happening now, it forms a habit and too often becomes the person's original state. Therefore, they will continue to allow the many thoughts in their mind to dictate where they are placing their attention and energy. This means that peopl...

Sunblock and Vitamin D

Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation-             What a great weekend! I hope you were able to go outside and enjoy it to activate that vitamin D in the skin. Many people ask me about the use of suntan lotion and there is quite a bit to learn about that. We have found that just using coconut oil before going out in the sun and after coming back from being in the sun helps to keep the skin in good shape and prevents the burning. Everyone’s skin is a different tone and some people may need a type of sunblock but find one that is both a UvA and UvB block. Most are only UvA and people still get a burn. Also to realize that many of these lotions are full of chemicals and when you are warm, the pores of your skin are opened more, and they can become toxic. That’s why we like the coconut oil treatment as there’s no chemicals there. Of course use common sense in the time you are in the sun and as you build a tan, you can be out lo...

Vitamin D Combats Viral Infections and Boosts Immune System

Vitamin D Combats Viral Infections and Boosts Immune System Analysis by  Dr. Joseph Mercola STORY AT-A-GLANCE GrassrootsHealth recently conducted a review of an observational study involving 212 patients who had COVID-19, identifying a correlation between vitamin D levels and disease severity. Those with the mildest disease had the highest vitamin D levels, and vice versa A second study found those with a vitamin D level between 20 ng/mL and 30 ng/mL had a sevenfold higher risk of death than those with a level above 30 ng/mL. Having a level below 20 ng/mL was associated with a 12 times higher risk of death, compared to having a level above 30 ng/mL The color of your skin has correlations to your vitamin D level, and we’re also seeing racial disparities in COVID-19. In Detroit, Michigan, where blacks account for 14% of the population, they account for 40% of COVID-19 deaths It’s important for people with darker skin to realize that the more melanin you have, the more sun...
